DISAPPOINTING!
What more can I say. The variety is lacking compared to the Bellagio Buffet.
We ate here twice. Once for breakfast/lunch and once for dinner.
We came in between breakfast and lunch and had a chance to sample both. The food was generally unremarkable. Eggs Benedict was over cooked. The poached egg on the benedict was over hard and should be over easy to over medium. Some of lunch items: Grilled steak was over cooked to medium well. Pork chop was dry. Pad Thai was bland. Dessert tasted like it was cooked a couple of days ago. Pizza was awful.
Went for dinner the next night in hopes that things would get better. The prime rib was excellent. It was cooked medium rare like traditional roast beef. For those who need it more cooked, you can ask the grill master to cook it some more. The alaskan king crab was "okay". Not the best. When you have gone to Alaska (like we have), every experience is just disappointing. Salmon was dry and over cooked. New England Clam Chowder was pretty good with lots of clam. Rack of lamb was over cooked to well done. Rule number 1 of rack of lamb: It must be medium rare.
Then we noticed some of the same things from lunch. Pork chop again? Asian station looked exactly the same? Same pizza? Same pasta? Same chicken?
Either the economy has taken it toll on the Wynn Buffet is the most over rated buffet on the strip.
