White Squirrel is one of the very few places in Toronto whose coffee I genuinely enjoy drinking as an aficionado and not someone in need of caffeine. The espresso ($2.75) was executed perfectly and had a delightful fruity aftertaste, something I truly savour and have scoured far and wide. Most places in Toronto go for ridiculously burnt-tasting beans, but not White Squirrel.
The place is run by the former owner of Aunties and Uncles, my favourite brunch spot, and is situated right on Trinity Bellwoods. Perfect. What else is there to say?
