  • One of my friends from home moved to the Charlotte area about a year ago and suggested we meet at Heist for a quick dinner and catch-up session. It's one of her preferred local breweries, and she gave an excellent summation of their offerings. Our server was on point and super friendly. I had a beer in front of me within minutes -- the top-tier Apricot Peach Pickin' -- and we ordered light dinner dishes as well. I selected the taquitos and it was perfectly proportioned to eat solo as a full meal or to share as an app. The brewery itself is on the larger size, but it's broken into different rooms with two different bars and plenty of tables available. The restrooms are well kept and the parking lot is easy to navigate. Overall, I enjoyed my snappy visit and would recommend it to others living in -- or visiting -- Charlotte.
