  • Well ok. I don't know if being a fan would be appropriate of a rating for a government service. I mean sure I work for a government agency myself but really, there are always complaints about us civil servants. But as for this office, which I'm surprised no one has rated yet, this place seems to be running smoothly. The last time I was here was of course 5 years ago. So why didn't I do this in Edmonton? Well since I had the time off, why not get this out of the way. From where I'm staying to this place I think it took me no more than 20 minutes by transit. It's located about a 3 minute walk from the north entrance of Sheppard Subway Station. Parking would be somewhat of a bitch, but I guess it depends on where and what time of the day you go. I decided to go around lunch time. Passport Canada offers people to mail their applications, take it to a service centre or walk in. I chose to walk in and take the chance. Since it was a Friday, I expected a massive lineup. Well I was surprised there wasn't. First you have to go through a screening line so they make sure the application is correct. Then you receive a number to wait in the queue. I think in total it was about 30 minutes. I'm sure if one went first thing in the morning it would've been quicker but oh well, I was still pleased with the expediency of the process.
