  • Where do I start? How about more than 15 years ago. My parents have been regular patients of Tender Dental on Boulder Highway at least that long. They saw their ad in our church bulletin at Holy Family Catholic Church not far from this office every Sunday for years and the ad still runs. Dr. Monica Ponce worked with my parents often and we have never had an issue. My parents have been in Las Vegas 36 years. Fast forward to 2015.... My dad is 86. His bridge was almost as old. ; ) Actually his bridge was about 30 years old. So happy it lasted that long but it was time for a new one. From the first appointment in November 2015 I had a comfortable feeling from this office. The only previous interaction I had had was when my mothers teeth were lost at Desert Springs hospital in 2008 and I insisted that Tender Dental and Dr. Ponce do the replacement since they had done the original. My mother couldn't eat until those teeth were done. And there were adjustments, many of them. All this was done in her hospital bed. Sadly, she passed away that year. Back to Tender Dental on Boulder; X-rays were taken and we were given an estimate. I can tell you it was a shocker slash heart stopper, however, this office worked with us to get a plan in place that was affordable for my dad. The key to all this begins with powerful employees. First and foremost, Zella Doyal. Her tireless, always helpful, compassionate and unconditional humane attitude was a breath of fresh air! I have had, without exaggeration which is hard for me because I am an Italian/Lebanese Gemini twin and yes I have a twin; no less than 30 conversations with this woman. She has been my crux and go to person and thank God for that! And there is a tie with Dr. Aimee. In addition to the above, add her expertise and kindness. I don't know where my dad would be, or my sanity.... If I told you that we have pestered this office like a mosquito on a hot day in Cleveland by Lake Erie, I am not lyin'... I'm surprised Zella even took my phone call this morning when I told them that my Dad had cracked both anchor teeth in his bridge and it was hanging on by a thread. Especially since we had just been there three days before for an adjustment. And lest we forget, we spent 4 hours last night at TD on Bonanza and Nellis figuring out what was wrong. They were the only dentist open. They couldn't do much except diagnose what the problem was and make an appointment for my dad on Monday, four days away. He couldn't swallow or eat. Needless to say, at 8 o'clock this morning I was persistent in calling TD on Boulder Highway and asking Zella for help. Good thing I did. She knew exactly where Dr. Aimee was and made an appointment for this morning at 11! Without getting into the gory details of my now 87 year old father having his two eye teeth extracted this morning and how grateful I I am that he has minimal pain compared to yesterday, I can tell you... I am so relieved! Having his dentist, at a moments notice, available to work her magic was enough to make this girl run out of the house in flip flops and sweats with my dad in tow. Let me just say that the team on West Lake Mead and Buffalo at Las Vegas Oral Surgery were the epitome of professional including Tyrone, Ashante and of course Dr. Aimee, her assistant, and the rest of the staff. Anything to take care of my papa regardless of the 40 minute ride. What a wonderful staff and facility! And yes Tyrone I will bring my dupes of Monopoly from Albertson's, I promise! My dad is doing as well as can be expected and will be fitted on Monday for his new dentures. AND because my dad had new partials upper and lower as well, the cost for the new dentures were covered without any additional expense for us. That warms the cockles of my heart because we are going to our hometown of Cleveland for 10 days over Easter for the first time in 20 years and that would have been a financial hardship. So, thank you Tender Dental, Zella, Dr. Aimee and everyone at the various Tender Dental offices who helped me and my dad the past couple of months. You are appreciated and respected more than you know. Yes I would recommend your services. You define the difference between doing a job and doing a job that makes a difference.
