I bought the groupon for lashes plus one fill. Made my appointment with daisy like other yelpers suggested. She was very sweet and answered every question I had. She asked me what type I want and I said volume but natural looking. She upsold me on some "3D" lashes for an additional $30, 3 hairs per lash attached. Being my first time getting lashes I agreed because it sounded like the best option for volume. 2 hours later once I opened my eyes, I was completely shocked. They looked like spider legs and were SO long and incredibly curly, they looked like the letter U from the side. I said that it was too extreme for me and not natural at all. She seemed hesitant to change things when I asked if its possible to tone them down and do something about they extreme length. Like I said, she's very sweet so she took off a few clusters and when she was done, the look was still too extreme for me but I left it alone. I take responsibility for how they looked because I didn't do enough research on the look I wanted and didn't insist on getting them toned down. But the way they looked I knew toning down was not an option, my only option was to start over. So I left feeling self conscious and embarrassed for not doing my research. It's hard to speak up with lashes because it's not like a hair cut where you see every step of the way but you talk, close your eyes for 2 hours, and you get what you get. Panic set in when I got home. I was about to leave on a week vacation and could not look like this the whole week. They looked like 2 MAC lash strips layered on top of each other, AFTER being used and slept on.
So long story short, 24 hours later I went to a specialty lash lounge to get them removed. I was informed by the girl who removed them that they were too heavy for my natural lashes and that they were attached too far up my actual lash and that some of my real lashes were glued together, meaning no separation. She said they looked like 12s which is not the length you would go for natural. She also asked why I asked for them to be so curly. I said I had no option, that last was the only option. She informed me that you always should have the option of exact length and curl. Lashes are not one size fits all. Lesson learned the hard way. From now on I'll be doing my research and maybe bringing photos.
Beware everyone, do your research and maybe go to a specialist with more experience. That being said, daisy is very sweet, patient, and genuine but I just did not agree with those "natural" lashes she put on me.
