My friend was visiting from out of town and I took him for a traditional French meal at this delightful former reaidence-turned restaurant. We had the price fixed 4 course meal and the food and service were both excellent.
We enjoyed a leisurely dining experience including a shared crudite course, escargots and a wild mushroom puff pastry, lamb shank that quite literally fell of the bone, and an excellent chicken cordon bleu with a marsala mushroom sauce.
Dessert was a true highlight with a traditional chocolate mousse and fresh chocolate souffle, and our server Kieffer was a storehouse of knowledge about Las Vegas sharing stories of the evolution of Vegas, the history of the restaurant and its owner, and really added to the entire experience.
You may have seen Pamplemousse as you drive by the intersection of Sahara and Paradise and glanced at the neon pink sign. It is well worth the trip to stop in and enjoy an authentic, cozy French meal with a personal touch.
