| - Today, I went to Northern Winds/Fantasia to poke around and see what they had to offer. However, I found the enviroment of the store to be rather brash, and somewhat obnoxious.
It started with some fellow customers who were friends and frequent shoppers of the store. Two of them took what I was looking at out of my hands, and another felt the need to appear out of nowhere and talk to me as if I was a child. It's unprofessional for a store to allow other customers, especially ones they closely associate with to treat new and potential customers in such a manner.
Next, as time went by, a group of customers starting gathering inside the Northern Winds portion of the store and seemed to be taking part in some event. The woman behind the register noticed me poking around while the others were getting together and rudely questioned what I was doing in there. As someone in charge of the small Northern Winds store (Northern Winds is inside of Fantasia), she should have just announced that they were closed and that they were trying to have their group class (Something I didn't realize until a bit later). As a new customer, I shouldn't have to read your mind. The things that change or happen within a store are the employees responsibility, not the customers.
So when I figured out what was going on, I slipped out of there, and I went back to the larger, Fantasia store encircling Northern Winds. I saw that the woman in charge of Fantasia turned a light off, and I asked her if they were closing. She spoke curtly and a bit annoyed that," Yes, it's after six." She checked me out, and I couldn't help but leave feeling a bit annoyed myself. Needless to say, I don't really feel the need to shop there again, as there are many other metaphysical stores in Phoenix and in Arizona worth checking out. I recommend, the cheery 'A Peace of the Unvierse', 'Jan Ross', and 'Dragonstar'.
