We will not use this service again. We used the app to check-in and we also went to the Super Shuttle kiosk outside the terminal to notify them we were there for our reserved pick-up at 8:30pm. We first approached a friend of the dispatcher who was sitting outside the kiosk so it was confusing to know who worked there. The dispatcher directed us to a desolate bench 1 mile away at the end of the airport. She didn't say anything about the wait time so we kept checking the app to see if our driver was assigned and where the driver was located.
After 40 minutes, our driver still wasn't assigned! Finally, after struggling to find a contact number on their website we managed to reach Super Shuttle's customer service line. The customer service representative didn't say why the wait was so long besides saying that pick-up wait times vary depending on where drivers are located. After waiting several minutes, the representative came back and said a driver was assigned. The driver finally showed up 15-20 minutes later.
Our van was crowded so we just fit and we wait through 4 other stops before ours. The driver was very nice and told us the truth about the delay. He said that Showtime suddenly went out of business so the two other main shuttle companies took their customers. Due to the lengthy delay the driver couldn't drop us off at Monte Carlo and instead drop us off across the Strip. We joined a huge crowd of people and schlepped our luggage across the Strip then walked all of the way through the huge hotel before finally arriving at the lobby.
Pick-up from the Monte Carlo to the airport was considerable quicker (prescheduled, just as our arrival pick-up had been). This driver was also very nice.
The rate was inexpensive at about $40 roundtrip, but extremely frustrating and unsafe for someone traveling alone and having to wait by themselves at night for a shuttle that feels like it never comes. The convenience and reliability of a taxi or Uber is worth paying a little more!
