Ford complaint.
I recently brought my truck to a Advantage ford for servicing of the breaks and oil change. They booked it in right away and were very nice to deal with on the phone. One of the girls called back in the morning to say the mechanic recommended full replacement of the break disks and pads. I thought this was strange as the pads were replaced 1 year prior, so I asked them to proceed but to leave the old break parts in the truck. Later that day the truck was ready to go and I went in to pick it up. I requested to speak with the service manager regarding a separate concern I was having with the truck. He offered to do a complimentary diagnostic to determine the cause problem and off I went. I took the old break parts to a different mechanic to get his opinion. He said that only 2 pads were worn and the uneven ware was an indication of a mechanical issue. I brought my complaint to Ford Canada because I feel the recommendation was not warranted.
I called the service manager Justin the fallowing day to fallow up on the complementary diagnostic service he offered. To my surprise he was rude to me on the phone and declined to do the service he had promised. Total work was $1800 and I would not recommend them to anyone.
