  • This place is everything I expected and more. I went in with high expectations when I saw google had a 4.6 rating from almost a 1000 reviews and it did not disappoint. My fellow foodie nephew eats halal only which makes finding burger joints downtown for him a tricky matter; so when I came across Top Gun at Kensington market, I had it ear marked. We had the Avenger burger, B52 sandwich and shared the Beef Chilli Cheese Fries. Portions are more than generous so if you aren't particularly hungry, you can easily split a burger and poutine between two. The philly cheese steak style subs are easily shareable between two (even three if you are getting other stuff to share and try). I can see myself ravage an entire B52 sub myself if I am famished so the portion size is not a issue for me (you can always take out the left overs, they have containers, so no biggie). This philly cheese steak IS the next best to the one I had in Philadelphia, so you could visit just for that. For my vegetarian friends, they have a Portobello patty stuffed with mozzarella or cheddar (à la the Option at Burger Priest) so you are set here. We went for dinner Sunday night and even then this place was pretty full, so I say call ahead if you are a bigger group. All in all, 5 star experience for me. I will come back here for the Vegetarian burger for sure.
