  • Thomas Bergman owns this place and he is an angry rabid barnyard dog. I had repairs done there for $1200, which turns out to be questionable, because the engine light was on. I was pressured into deciding fast because according to him the parts had to be ordered by 3 or he couldn't get them until the next week. Not so strangely, he told me this at 2:50. He promised me on his marine honor that he guaranteed his work for a year. Shortly after I left, the engine started the same noises. It took me a few months to get back there as it is not close to my residence at all and its not easy to get to for me. I parked the car unless I really needed to go somewhere until I could get it back there. I took it somewhere else and they ran a diagnostic and it indicated it was the same issues. Unfortunately the receipt was stolen when my car was broken into so I didn't have it but I did have the credit card receipt that clearly said, Huskers Automotive and the amount paid. He went off on me that he doesn't keep receipts and he sends them every month... or six months... or whatever... to Utah to a storage unit, He told me the light could be on for either 100 reasons or 1000 reasons or 2000 reasons... or it could be any one of 2500 parts or 1500 parts.... this is the crazy tirade I was subjected to at this place. He can't run a computer because cars hit the power box on the street. Is that relevant for anyone? He kept shouting that he was trying to help when he made no move to help at all... he just shouted and ranted about his personal life and that he didn't want to work for free and blah blah blah. His mechanic came out and remembered exactly what was done but still Ole Tom would not stop foaming at the mouth. The mechanic told him to stand down and back off and shut up to no result but that Tom accused him of feeling free to give away money. I finally got his face out of mine and my car and left. Shortly thereafter he calls me and leaves a voice mail that he found the receipt after all and would diagnose the problem if I brought it back. OK. Sounds reasonable? I should be subjected to going back to another escalated abuse session? He was out to lunch when I arrived and no one else could "write me up" so I waited over 30 minutes and Tom shows up already escalated and proceeds to attack me for over 30 more minutes. This is a warning... if you want to be abused then bring your car here for service. This guy has major personal problems and, in my opinion, may have addiction issues that supersede basic logic. He's the worst kind of skank businessman in my opinion.
