It makes me sad to rate them a 3. The rooms are lovely as is the hotel. Unfortunately the service is terrible. We were to receive a free in-room breakfast as part of our package. After 90 minutes of waiting for our order, I finally called and cancelled. There was no apology or explanation. Just a confirmation that we wouldn't be charged a cancellation fee ... What? On the free breakfast? Then to make it more laughable the brekkie arrived 10 minutes later. Cold... Unappealing. Okay so fool me twice shame on me but we decided to try again for an In room dinner. That arrived in a timely 40 minutes and was decent. However there was way too much food (we ordered pizza). So I called down to have the plates picked up and asked for foil or plastic wrap to store the leftovers. I was told that their policy was not to allow foil to be brought to the room (OMG - really??). But I could purchase a doggie bag container for $7.50. Really?$7.50 to wrap my leftovers? How ridiculous! I'm so disappointed by the laissezfaire attitude of the management at the Venetian. But don't get me wrong - everyone who came to the room was amazing and did their best to help. It's the management level that is messed up. I had a lovely woman who picked up our dirty dishes sneak a plastic food container up to me. Housekeeping offered up 5 plastic bags meant for ice cubes. The folks working your room are amazing and deserve great tips! But management and organization is significantly underwhelming.
