  • Absolutely my favorite place in the city. If you're a local, the best comps of any place in town, and double deck blackjack that has the best player edge in Vegas. If you can count a bit, you can for sure beat it. The pool is an awesome place to hang out for the day, the spa is wonderful (especially when it's comped, which it will be without giving ridiculous action), and now they have Hash House A Go Go. Uh-Mazing. Lived in Vegas for 6 months last year, and ate at Red Cup Cafe or the buffet probably 4 days a week. Food and service were always excellent. The poker room has trouble getting a 2-5 nl game going, much less anything higher, but that's the only flaw in the place. And it's a shame they closed the pharmacy, because having a super nice casino with a pharmacy was just surreal and awesome all at the same time. The buffet is the best in Vegas, and less than half the price of Rio's seafood buffet or Bellagio. Do NOT miss the gelato, it's just incredible. Hostile Grape downstairs does a really fun happy hour with cheap drinks and free food on Tuesdays, and has a nifty self-service wine by the glass setup. And the sports book is the best on the planet, and that's not hyperbole. Awesome in-game wagering setup, liberal drink policy, and tons of room to spread out if you want to bring a laptop and do some research while prepping for a game. Not to mention tons of TV's and they'll accept action on most anything, and if they don't have a line they might make one for you. The cocktail waitresses are also like the field bet in Vegas... 9 or better FTW. I'm not the guy that hits on waitresses, but it's hard to focus on blackjack with that kind of distraction is running around. They are just stunning. I would absolutely stay here as well if they had a 24 hour shuttle to take me back and forth to the strip. But when I go back, I will head the 6 miles to St. Rose. M has all the quality of the Strip's best properties, but sticks to the locals. Even if you're a tourist, it's a can't miss.
