  • Hollywood Theater is a Top 3 movie going experience in Pittsburgh!!! It almost reminds me of combining a church basement with a movie theater, in the best way possible. The prices are crazy cheap, 2 tix, large popcorn, 2 bottled teas and a candy ran me about 30$, which would be double at your typical AMC or Cinemark. They also have a nice combination of classic films, and newer block busters. It's also byob which is pretty awesome. Hollywood Theater is just another reason why Dormont is quickly becoming one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the Burgh. If you're curious about the 2 other best theaters in Pittsburgh, Row House in Lawrenceville and Manor in Squirrel Hill. The thing that sets HT apart is its grass roots vibe, it's the type of establishment that you can't help but root for.
