| - It may help to know that I'm not a regular Vegas visitor. I hate the place. This was a stopover near the end of a long road trip. I expected Vegas to be ridiculously expensive, and for the most part, Vegas met that expectation.
"First" is refreshingly different in this respect though. Our bill was only about $85 (plus tip). That's an appetizer, a few cocktails, and entrees for a family of four. I had the Salmon. It was cooked to perfection, and bathed in a sauce so good I threatened to lick the plate. The service staff was prompt, efficient, and super friendly. The bar/restaurant is on the second floor above the strip looking out toward the TI pirate ships. The decor was stylish, but quite comfortable. All in all, it was a memorable meal.
I'm sure with all the upscale celebrity chef restaurants in Vegas (let alone just within the Veneitan/Pallazo complex) that you could find something even better, but First was refreshing find and surprisingly, a bargain.
