| - Beware. My wife and I went into to buy a car today. Normally, I don't take the time to write reviews but I want others to be warned. I read other poster "beware" warning before driving over but still drove over despite the warnings.
Their finance guy was very insulting and derogatory towards us. He implied that we could not afford the car when I made an offer a few hundred bucks below his asking price. This car has been sitting un-sold for over 3 months, so they should jump on that offer. He said you know your going have to pay sales taxes on top off the offer prices in a derogatory voice, as if to imply were broke and if you really need to try to negotiate a deal on car you probably can not afford it. But I disagree.
Then, I elected to not ask for two hundred bucks below asking and asked for "just 1 hundred bucks below asking price" he said he has to call the owner and more random BS (cough).
I then kindly asked to speak with the owner he allegedly had on the phone and I was blown off as if I was a kid. I guy named Sam apparently is the owner.
The finance went on explaining his 25 elaborate years of finance experience blah blah blah...and how I was asking for a one hundred below asking price offer because I just "wanted to win"...
He then turned and re-interred to the sales manager Shawn and state "he just wants to win" as if I a bum. So don't go into this shopping expecting to negotiate a "reasonable offer". They had most cars marked much higher on the window than on the internet. Check their webpage if you only see the sticker listing. If you must buy from here, no other car you like, then get your finances pre-qualified at a credit union before you enter the door.
**DO NOT use their financing.**
I finally looked him in the eye and stated you can tell you don't have car "sales" experience. He did not know if it was 2 WD or 4 WD or what that meant. He looked very angered for me calling out his lack of knowledge and professionalism.
I was just about to walk out and go to another lot.,,,
Then out of nowhere the real sales Shawn manager shows up. He was a pretty decent guy, so I told him I just pay the full asking price and work with him. For some reason, Shawn ended up giving my one bucks off after he went in the garage and hashed out what was said with this finance jerk. So I will give Shawn credit for that one even though I had offered full price. Shawn seems like a good guy that waked into a situation that was already going south fast. Basically Shawn saved the deal last second and I do mean "last second".
Shawn and I worked to seal the deal and I never had a worse car buying experience overall and I have bought/sold 40 + cars in my life.
I bought the car only to appease my wife, certainly not because of they way
Fast & Furious Motorsports treats "clients". Shawn is who you should work with if you MUST go there. We can afford any car we want but are frugal as a general rule of thumb and I still feel asking a few hundred below is more than reasonable.
BTW: I paid in full with CASH and have more than enough to buy several hundred or those exact cars cash (no joke). I'm noting this point not to brag to but to make a point that their finance guy is very quick to judge. I'm willing bet he worth less than us but treated us like ignoramus morons.
Update: The owner called me today and admitted some things were mis-handled so I am moving from a 1 start to 3 star review because he showed that he cared about his business.
