Bad experience with a simple oil change. I went in for an oil change today. There was a lady working on my car. When I was in the waiting area, I noticed my taillights constantly going on and off. After a few minutes I went out to investigate. The lady working on my oil change was sitting in the drivers seat moving my steering wheel up and down. I asked her if there was a problem. (because she looked like she was having difficulties.) She said she did not know how to release my emergency brake. I don't have much expectations from an oil change place, but understanding the simple controls of my Dodge vehicle is one of them. She proceeded to tell me she was having issues turning on my car earlier. OK...strike two - she doesn't know how to release a brake and does not know how to turn on a car.
She then goes over the extras they wanted to add. She informed me that I needed to take care of a transmission leak. Curiously, when she went over the fluid levels, I asked how much transmission fluid they needed to add (you know, since there was a leak). She said - none, it was completely full. After a few minutes, she recanted and said the issue was a slight leak in the engine, not the transmission.
The final straw was on my way home...my hood popped open. I guess it was expecting a lot that the person who did not know how to turn a car on would know how to close a hood.
I will no longer be frequenting any Terrible's locations if this is what they are hiring - people with no knowledge of cars - people who do not know how to use an emergency brake, how to close a hood or how to even turn on a car.
