| - Came here on a first visit with someone really good, but she made my hair stringy and had no protein left whatsoever. I hate that I used to be really blonde 6 years ago before ombre and balayage was a thing, and yes, it took 3-4 sessions to get me really light, but my hair wasn't this fried. Now I feel like hair dressers want to get you as light as possible in one sitting and don't care about your hair's integrity. My hair was down to the small of my waist, and I had to end up cutting it above my collar bone with how fried and damaged my hair was left.
The second person I went with was Jackie and man that was pretty rough. I was left orange, and unevenly toned. Knowing my hair was basically falling off and still unhealthy but I needed my roots done, I told her I DID NOT want the ends done (plus they were already really bright and basically gray). Having my hair bleached a lot of times before, I asked her for level 20 developer only since they like to go crazy and use 40 to get your hair white. Even though my hair was not done lifting, she rinsed my hair out any got ready for her next client, hence the orange and uneven colors. The worst part was getting home and
looking at my hair in natural light Every. Single. Strand. Is colored. I left with blonde hair all over, and when I look through my hair, I don't have a balayage--no brown hair in the ends anymore-- just blonde. *sigh*.It's like they can't just touch up and blend your roots to what I already had. I was also over charged by the price I was originally told, which doesn't make since since I had the shortest hair of anyone at the salon, and I JUST WANTED MY ROOTS DONE.
In the restaurant industry as a cocktail server everyone has to have great hair, nails, and makeup and we all want to know where the other person goes to get great results. It's sad this won't be the place I recommend to my girlfriends, but I feel its justified.
