Whoa! "Horrible Stay" that's what it said on our refund receipt. Chose Crown Plaza because it's close to a concert venue and close to restaurants. And it's the "Crown Plaza!" That was mistake. This overpriced room was not up to two star standards. The outdoor patio had no furniture, furniture was scratched and dented, and carpet just sad. No telephone placard so, you couldn't tell what any of the buttons were beyond dial numbers. The dead bottom of this tale is that the toilet wouldn't flush. Geeze! Should've just asked for another room but we decided maybe they can get them to fix it while we're at the concert. We stopped by and told the "night manger". I saw her right down our room number and the word toilet. Crossed fingers and walked to concert. Big mistake. We returned at 10:30pm with the afterglow of seeing a great performer and looked forward to an evening celebrating. We were beyond shocked when the toilet was in the same "nasty" condition. They had not even made an attempt. So at 10:30pm I pressed "0" telephone hoping that would get the front desk. Remember, no labels on the phone. Someone answered and I told them "fix this now". The said they would send someone down. Several minutes later someone did come by without any tools. Took a look and said "someone dropped the ball" I'd told him someone left it in the toilet. He had to "go get a snake". After messing with the toilet for 30 minutes he said it flushes now. I tried and it seemed to work better. Celebration glow gone, we showered and prayed for morning. Morning broke and the toilet was slow again ... no morning coffee on the patio without furniture either. Let's just check the heck out of here! We went to front desk to tell them about our horrible experience. They managed not to look up at us as we expressed our dismay with this Crown of Tin. Never going back to a Crown Plaza again.
