| - STAY AWAY!! **WARNING WARNING BED BUGS**!!! The first night I had come in, it was about 3AM; I didn't 'check' the room like I should have; I was exhausted from flying in from LaGuardia. My boyfriend and I are VERY FAMILIAR W/ bedbugs, as ones who lived thru the bedbug epidemic out here in downtown Phoenix, AZ, 2016. Anyways, now this is night #2,& he says ' I feel itchy'. I say 'ok, you know we need to strip the bed,& all the way from the pillows to the rug' (as they travel through the rugs & electrical outlets). FUN FACT: bedbugs are asexual, can live a year w/o food/ water, & can live anywhere from behind your picture frames, or ANY nook & cranny imagine able. We undo the bed- we find bedbugs,bedbug eggs,& their excrement & exoskeletons. Since we knew to ck the rugs, I pull out the reclining couch,& to my horror, they are burrowed EVERYWHERE! ( keep in mind I took pics & recorded everything). I asked to change rooms; the one given for the 2nd time was WORSE then the 1st!! (& directly across the hall). The THIRD ROOM GIVEN had no carpet-only wood/tile. As I was recording, I also collected 3live bugs,which I brought down to Jeannie their Mngr. that nxt AM. As she whispers to her coworker 'they look like beetles'- I said 'no,& I Hve pics & vids to prove it. If u want, I'll show you upstairs exactly where they are! Plus 3 live bugs! My Fathers dying- I'm here on business, in the middle of a move w/ my disabled husband. Something needs to be done.' She says(snottily)' we already refunded your money.' I asked why I was charged, since she told me tht wldnt hppn till ckout. She says then she never charged me... I get my bank on the phone- they tell me they're processing thee same payment tht nvr hppnd...hmmm...so I tell my bank tht shld Hve been refunded-they stop the charges. Now, my BF & I have a 15yr + history w this comp; never an issue before! She then says since you were supposed to be here till Fri& things got messed up, she'd give us comped nights until Sun, we tell her where we wanna go- we get there,& guess wat? I Hve a DNR( do not rent) near my name!!! Excuse me?! Then they won't let my BF make a reservation-there's nothing wrong under his acct!! Completely discriminating, HORRIFIC customer care, bedbug infestation: if Cynthia the Mngr. at the Biltmore had decided not to let us stay( her discretion) we would be sleeping on the streets... Due to Jeannie coward ness, dishonesty,& vindictiveness,& unprofessionalism. I Hve waitresses for 18yrs.,& this is THEE WORST customer service I've EVER experienced! I would HIGHLY suggest NEVER going to the DEER VALLY Extended Stay location, unless you want itchy bedbug bites,& want to be treated like garbage.
