Just a very solid neighborhood coffee shop. It's a short walk from my apartment so I'm often here but honestly, I would frequent Michelangelo's even if it was farther away because it's just that good. There is ample seating (and a variety of it too: large tables, couches, armchairs) so it's great if you want to do some work with a group or do some reading by yourself. The back room also gets great lighting, which is a must for me if I'm gonna park myself at a coffee shop to do work for a while. The drinks are yummy and fairly priced and I love their sandwiches (the pesto tomato sandwich is especially good) and soups (and pastries and desserts, although I try not to indulge in those too often). Everyone who works here is super nice too. It's never too overcrowded with undergrads like the Colectivo and Espresso Royale near campus are. Probably my favorite coffee shop on State Street!
