  • I feel the need to defend Summerlin Animal Hospital as there are a lot of negative reviews and after reading them I can only conclude that those people are just not very bright. I have been coming here for 5 years, first with my cat and now with my dog too so I have a decent bit of experience. Let me start by saying I am one of those annoying pet people who thinks my cat is more valuable than your child (and fankly looking at little Johnnies last report card I am probably right). So I am pretty snooty about all things related to their care, especially boarding. When I have had to board a pet for longer than a weekend I always prefer to do it at a vet so that if there is any kind of medical emergency I know they will be taken care of so I don't have to go John Wick on some snooty pet motel. That being said: 1. They have always communicated with me promptly. If I send an email I get a quick response, even late at night and on the weekends. They always call and follow up on things/remind me of appointments 2. The prices are rock bottom. Boarding a cat is 10$ per day. Boarding a dog I believe is 20$ per day. To those who say its expensive- please let me know where you found something cheaper of any kind, let alone a place with qualified medical personnel on staff. A few times while being boarded my cat hat to get her shots done or have her teeth cleaned (and one removed :() and they could have easily put me over a barrel on the price. However, their services are always reasonably priced and much cheaper than vets I have visited previously. 3. The boarding is great. My cat is very friendly so they let her out all day to roam around the office/interact with the other animals instead of keeping her in a small cage. Every time I have been there I have seen staff walking/playing with dogs who I assume are being boarded there.
