Do Not contact them. Typical fish and bait as you would say. Valerie S. contacted me and sounds all nice. My phone was broken so I had to text her. She quickly replies being very courteous and I gave her my information she quoted $1049. I agreed with it and told her I'd have to send pics of everything I have. She texts me back a few times asking for update and if I've got all my stuff so she can take inventory. After a wk of texting she increases the price to $1579 and I still agree and pay the deposit. After I pay the deposit she took longer and longer to reply to my texts as she already got her deposit and I'm not as important anymore. My last wk here and I text to make sure everything is in order, took her a while to reply and I tell her I have a few more items..4 lawn chairs and plastic drawer and ski racks which don't take up that much space. She raises price again to almost $1900. Remember my first estimate was $1049 so it almost doubled. She wanted to know everything I'm taking. Who has time to write down every single item when moving. Moving is already frustrating and Oasis makes it even worse by increasing their estimates. I found a Budget truck for $624 including a trailer. I lost my deposit because of their stupid 24hr policy. I emailed her to cancel my truck and I'm sure she got offended because it took her 10 hrs to reply to email...it's new age of communication. They can't simply check email and reply?? And I also texted her and apologized that I'm canceling....No replies from text. Her email reply wasn't very professional...basically she said take it or leave and here's your information...
Please save yourself the headache and stay away from Oasis Moving. Cheaper to hire someone to load your truck and you drive it yourself..if I wouldn't of lost my deposit I would've only paid $624 plus gas but now I have to pay the $157 deposit. Oh well lesson learned..
Atleast now I can take my stuff without the worry of paying $200 extra for a $10 dollar item I cant take with.
