| - The Gramercy is a great place to live and call home. While it is not without its hiccups, having been opened only a few months, I have found it to be everything it was advertised.
The apartments are diverse in their design, as are the tenets. My neighbors come from many walks of life, and I have found them all to be enjoyable. I especially enjoy meeting them at the pool, the barbecue pit, and community events such as Wine Down Wednesdays. I've lived in many different apartment communities, and this is by far my favorite so far. I rarely hear noises fro my neighbors, which is partly due to the strong construction of the unit, but also because they seem to be decent people who aren't obnoxious. THANK YOU! :) I'm sure in time, they will do something that is annoying (leave the trash by the chute, leave the complimentary mini shopping carts that are great for groceries from your car in the elevator, or not pick up after themselves in the common areas, have loud adult relations), but I'm certain I'll be free from the horror stories of other places. :)
The rent is certainly on the higher end -- it's not bargain living; but it's not suppose to be! The floor plans are spacious, and the balconies in each unit are amazing. One of my favorite features is the view I have. Breakfast with the sunrise, and dinner with the sunset, are staples of my day. The amenities are pretty cool; the pool is small, but relaxing -- my friends think its the best around; the pig that lives in the pool (a statue) is certainly a conversation starter. There is a movie screen with a fire pit along with several gas grills. There's an indoor lounge area or residents as well. When you live here, you get complimentary membership to Raw Fitness. While you can't attend the classes, the gym area is superior to that at many other apartment complexes, so this is a nice benefit.
There has been some recent crime in the area (all of Las Vegas, really), but I am happy to report that I feel safe here. There is ample security in the evenings on the apartment complex but also on the accompanying business/retail/restaurant space. It feels nice to walk back on evenings from the gym (Raw Fitness) and Pinches Tacos. Underground parking is good, but be certain you know how many spaces you are getting with your unit. Many come with only one. The set-up of this community provides lots of eyes on everything, so I feel safe.
I have had the pleasure of working with Phillip, who is a community manager. He is very personable and had us sold on the whole experience after his tour. He continues to be very pleasant to work with now that we live here; if there is a question I have about the apartment or the community, he is always friendly, timely, an professional in his response. He also hosts many of the community events such as Wine Down Wednesday and Resident Appreciation Breakfast--and I always have a blast at these.
No apartment living in my experience can be perfect, but I can say after living at the Gramercy for one month, that things are pretty good!
