We came here for dinner Thursday night at 7pm and the restaurant was about 1/3 full. It absolutely pains me to write this review and only give 3 stars because I feel like there's so much potential here! The menu is enticing, service absolutely 5 stars, prices are very fair and ambiance is perfection. The catch is....the food was mehhh 3 stars at best. Considering this is a restaurant review, I have to base my stars on the quality of the food. What we ordered:
1. Foie Gras Parfait- 4* delicious and creamy but it was more filler (i.e. cream) than foie gras. still very yummy though
2. Beef Wellington for 2 people- 3* SO SALTY!! the filet was cooked beautifully and that along with the foie gras sauce would have been perfection together. But the dry outer crust and the insanely salty duxelle made it unpalatable. My hubby and I had to scrape the outer parts off and just eat the steak and sauce. Plus it was $130 for the two portions and it didn't even come with a side. That's expensive even by Vegas standards.
3. Black truffle french fries- 0* terrible. The first batch we got was stale and not even warm so we sent it back. The second batch we got was still stale and the truffle flavor wasn't even detectable. You could see the black flecks of supposed truffle but there was absolutely no taste of truffle at all. We didn't want to be a bother and send it back again so just left it untouched. tragic
We skipped dessert because we didn't want to be disappointed further. Our bill amount to $230 including a glass of wine. Not bad- but not worth it. There's potential here if they could get their kitchen to execute as well as their front of house staff.
