My daughter and I decided to try Pekara while she was on her summer break. We had never been here before and it was apparent; however not to the lady behind the counter. I'm not sure if she rubbed me the wrong way or if I rubbed her the wrong way, but my daughter chose the chocolate croissant and I the fruit tart. When trying to make a drink selection and explaining to the woman that we had never been here before she directed me to the drink menu after looking around. Now that she knows this, she fails to direct us to tableware, etc. just felt very unwelcome here, but still excited to try the wonderful pastries.
First off, my fruit tart was placed on a Chipped plate (tacky). The tart was excellent and fresh! The chocolate croissant was Mainly croissant. Hardly any chocolate. Art Mart has way-better chocolate croissants, by the way. My daughters frozen hot chocolate was very good and my chai latte was yummy as well. Despite some of the negatives, the fruit tart will bring me back. I'm interested to try the lunch items as well as dessert.
