| - Dr. Gumfroy and his staff are THE BEST.
THE GENUINE CONCERN OF DR. GUMFROY AND HIS STAFF FOR MY PETS AND FOR ME IS THAT RARE COMMODITY WE ALL SEEK IN HEALTH CARE.
I went in to consult on my puppies tails (see below for why).
The staff was proactive in making sure my momma dog and puppies were quarantined from any other dogs (important to protect newborns from any possible germs). THANK YOU !!!
A staff member stopped by the exam room to let me know Doctor would be with me in just a couple of minutes. I've NEVER had that happen at a vet ... they usually just put you in a room and you wait. Great customer service !!!
Dr. G walked in the room, greeted me with a firm handshake and then his first question was, "How's your momma dog doing?" I was so impressed because I wasn't there to have my momma dog checked, yet she was HIS first concern. He checked my girl and advised me on aftercare for her. Then he looked at my puppies. We discussed how to deal with the too-long tail crop. I really appreciate that Dr. G. is conservative in his approach and advised waiting to see how they look when the puppies get older. As I was preparing to leave, I told him ... you now have a client for life ... and I meant it.
I'm so grateful to my friends who recommended him. I'm looking forward to a long partnership with the N.V.H. folks in caring for my pets. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!!!
Here's the reason I was looking for a new vet ... and am so glad I found Dr. G.
I had been going to another vet in town (recommended by friend), but after they tried to scare me into a C-section on my dog (she delivered naturally 36 hours later) and then rushed through my puppy's tail crops, LEAVING THEM TOO LONG, I knew I had to find a new vet. I had my momma dog with me when I took the puppies to that other vet for the tail crop. The vet didn't even acknowledge my dog was in the room, let alone ask how she was doing or examine her. He just wanted to get through the tail crop and get me out the door. He was cocky and dismissive and hyper. I don't need that in a vet ... I need a partner in caring for my beloved pets. So, goodbye to you, vet who I will not name ... I'll just never go back.
