So, we packed up a few things and drove to Toronto. I packed my own bottle of Veuve b/c while I am sure the Hilton thinks it's okay to charge $150 for a bottle of Veuve, I can totally get one for $38.99 on special at Premier in the Buffy.
I drank a lot more than just that one bottle of Veuve. All I really remember is the crap poutine I had for dinner and the pool.
The pool is super-cool. It was heated. Part of it is inside, and you can swim under a little plastic barrier to go outside. It was late and dark and at times I was alone, swimming outdoors, looking up at the buildings and lights of downtown Toronto. The steam from the heated pool was wafting off the water into the freezing air and I floated and pondered. It was beautiful and sort of romantic. Except, you know, I was there with my husband. And our small boy child.
And then my trance-like buzzed-on-Veuve state was interrupted by MOMMY COME GET ME I WANT TO SWIM WITH YOU. MOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM.
