| - The food is generally good. Looking through pictures on yelp, one may get the impression that the restaurant takes quality over quantity. But in fact, the portion is bigger and the food here is quite filling. I really appreciate the bread basket w three different types of bread. The one w sour cream inside is my fav. We ordered the salad and hominy chicken hot pot for apps, hardskin sea bass and dayboat scallops for main dish and carrot cake and tiramisu as desserts. The apps are really good and filling our appetite perfectly. My hot pot isn't spicy at all but is still nice and tasty. As for entree, I LOVE the texture of the scallops with its outside seared nicely and inside a little wet and jelly-like, just yummmm. My friend's sea bass is quite nice too. The meat is really tender and the grits are cheesy and tasty. However, our entree are all really salty, a sarcasm for a eatery known for food quality and healthy portion size. Besides, the desserts are kinda plain. Although the tiramisu has green tea powder on top, which does not make it stand out, it is generally normal and okayish. Our carrot cake does not taste of carrots and is disappointingly too sweet to our taste. Apart from that, the waiter does introduce the everyday specials to the table next to us but he totally forgets to inform us. So, uh uh sorry Spoon, but points off!
