My husband was in this hospital for 13 days for a collapsed lung. He was left with a chest tube in all that time because we are from the States and they were worried about his health insurance, even though we let them know that we did have insurance. We ended up paying an ambulance to transport him to the US, with his chest tube and suction in place. Worst experience of our lives and the most frightening. Most of the nurses were good but lacking. They have a thing they call a wellness round, they are supposed to come into the room ask how the patient is feeling and write it into their clip board on the outside of the room, every hour, that was actually done 5 times in 13 days but we watched as they wrote it down, every hour, not having been in the room.....terrible, terrible hospital. And if you are from another country Run. Do what we did and call an ambulance from BC to transport you, it'll be 2000 cheaper for ground transport than getting one from Alberta...okay that is another story.
