| - So I guess Desert botanics don't thrill me, but i will overlook that and write that what they do have there is presented very well. At the entrance is an interesting Chihuly glas scukpture. Admission to the garden is $15, though if you have a AAA membership you get $1.50 off. (not listed, you have to ask) The paths are well laid out and the markings are pretty clear. They have s section for different Native American habitats, a butterfly garden (I only saw one unfortunately), a bee pollen garden, a hummingbird garden (I did see one, it was cool), an herb garden (which I think could have been better marked), a succulent garden, and many other areas too numerous for me to remember or list. a gazillion types of agave and cacti of course. Throughout the garden are scupltures by Allen Hauser, and I really enjoyed the artwork intermingled with the nature. I also appreciated the free telescopes in many of the areas which allowed one to view the buttes and mountains in the distance. I do wish I had planned my visit better as to be there for the special holiday light exhibit, where all the paths are lit by candles, that must look spectacular.
Easy to find, easy parking, if you are in town you should give it a visit.
