I never knew that China Panda existed before stumbling upon it during a lunchtime wander - apparently it's been in the Yonge/Bloor area for many many years!
A strange mix of household furnishings and decor, kitchen items, bits of clothing & accessories, it's a browser's delight. My friend and I were drawn in by the cute chopstick holders in the window, and the cheap (CHEAP) kitchen accoutrements in a stand outside the door.
I don't quite understand how everything can be so very cheap in there, but it's a nice surprise. I picked up a little glass teapot with built-in strainer for $4 (pre-tax), and my friend got herself a small wicker storage basket for $6 (pre-tax). I could've kept on shopping, but had limited time.
Next time i'm after anything household-ish that I don't want to have to browse for in a Dollarama, i'm coming back to you, China Panda!
