| - Arizona Ave location in Ocotillo:
My husband and daughter and I came in to buy a few plants around 7:30 pm. Since the Nursery was closed for the evening, we went to the front to check out. The self-check out lanes were open, which two employees, one possibly a manger, were standing in front of, talking. One cashier lane was open, but unattended, and we went to that one so we wouldn't get soil all over the self-check scanners. No one came over to check us out, so after a minute, I asked the two employees, who clearly, heavily flirting with each other, if someone could check us out. His response was to look at me, annoyed, and state that the cashier who should be up there is sleeping and to hold on. Then immediately went back to his flirting with the other employee. Zero effort to help or find someone who could. Zero apologies for standing there, pawing at another employee and acting a fool while my family and I stood there, watching. A third employee finally came around the corner and checked us out.
I've been in customer service for years and never would treat a customer with such annoyed dismissal, or carry on so inappropriately with a coworker in front of customers. It's not like they are kids, either. These were middle-aged adults. It was gross. And weird. And rude. But mostly, gross. Not going back to that location.
