Two days ago, had a schedule operation at Sunrise. I walked through the doors nervous and without a clue about where to go. From the moment I arrived until I left, I was treated like I was the only patient they had. Every single staff member was courteous, caring, and encouraging. I was able to relax and trust that I was in good hands. Each step of the prep, procedure, and recovery was explained to me and my questions were welcomed. It's hard to put into words what it was that calmed me and created a sense of warmth and caring, but it had everything to do with how the nurses spoke go me. They care. They knew I was afraid, and they spoke to me as though I was a member of their own families. At a time when I was so totally out of my element, the Angels at Sunrise took over and carried me through.
