| - I had heard about Mothership before, but had never really known where it was, until I moved right next door. As soon as I saw it, I was excited to try it! Having a good coffee shop in your neighborhood is a must for when you are out of coffee at home, you're meeting friends, or you just want to treat yourself to their fine craftsmanship.
The inside is small, but since it's well over 100 degrees in Vegas right now, the first thing I noticed was that it was cool and comfortable. You are instantly greeted by an enticing case of delicious pastries, even with some vegan-friendly options. The staff was friendly, and they took the time to let me know their offerings when I had mentioned it was my first time.
The first time I went, I had tried a lavender latte, which was good if you are a fan of lavender. It's not the fake, sweet kind of flavoring either. It tasted like the real deal. I could imagine them steeping actual lavender for such an authentic flavor. I also had a croissant, which was delicious and flaky.
The second time I went, the barista, again, explained to me some offerings and helped me decide on a vanilla mocha, light on the sweet. It was truly perfect, and again, it didn't taste like those imitation syrups that everyone uses. He also let me taste their house made, nitro cold brew and nitro hopped cold brew. I liked the hopped one the best!
All in all, this place is exactly what I want in a coffee shop, and I will return often. If you are looking for a Starbucks drink, you won't find it here. If you are looking for a quality drink with good ingredients, then definitely stop here!
