| - Compared to all the other computer discounted stores, my favorite by far is Tiger Direct. I'm not a huge fan of these stores in the first place, and I would never think of buying a somewhat vital computer or computer part here, but it's good for little things such as wires or peripherals.
First of all this Tiger Direct is pretty conveniently located on Woodbine Avenue, a bit south of Hwy 7. It has a pretty squishy and limited front of the store parking, but has lots of parking to the side and at the back. The good thing that sets Tiger Direct (or at least this location) from other stores of its kind is that it's more organized. Other stores have a very bare basic interior, almost warehouse style.
In terms of quality, again I'm not the biggest supporter of this store. I much rather pay the extra few bucks at a bigger box store and gain some peace of mind with what I'm buying. I will say that I did buy a memory stick for my camera at Tiger Direct, and it hasn't broken down yet. But I do get File Errors quite often when I'm trying to look at pictures through my camera. If I stick the memory card in my computer, I am able to extract and view the pictures ok. I'm not sure why that is, it's a well known brand name card, and was purchased new.
This is again a re-stocking fee, if you open and return something. Unlike Future Shop, you can't buy something, try it out and return in the following week.
