  • Bruxie violated two of my pet peeves and still gets 4 Stars, so you know I was pretty impressed by the food. Pet Peeve #1- It's an order at the counter type place. These places always make me feel rushed and uncomfortable. Even though I was the first customer of the day, I felt like I was holding things up, so I just ordered an Original Chicken and Waffle Sandwich and a Belgian Mocha. Pet Peeve #2- Why do restaurants that work so hard to get things Crispy and/or Crunchy put sauces and wet condiments directly on them? It always turns the crispiness and crunchiness to sogginess. Now onto the food itself. The Original has Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Chili Honey and Cider Cole Slaw. The Chicken was perfectly seasoned and the parts that weren't turned soggy by the slaw had a wonderful crunch. The Waffles were the absolute lightest, crispiest, best I've ever had. Again, except for the parts that had contact with the slaw. Even the slaw itself was very good and the Chili Honey added a really nice sweet heat to the sandwich. My Mocha was the best coffee I had this Vegas trip. Bruxie is wheelchair accessible and the food is fantastic, so I will definitely be back. I'll just order the Cole Slaw on the side!
