Some mildly innovative dishes from a "master chef".
Overall, the duck was tender but spices hardly out of the ordinary, oysters were tangy and tasty, and shrimp on Paris toasts a highlight. Dessert (fried bananas and some mishmosh of raspberry compote and ice cream was refreshing but again, not entirely inventive or uniquely tasty.
Perhaps the hype is hard to live up to, but there were more pleasant surprises to the pallette to be found at Gilead (RIP).
