  • Wow! I had a great breakfast! The BMOC. Who would've thought that a pork chop would pair so well with a waffle? It was tied together perfectly with apple compote and maple syrup. Topped with two eggs sunny side up, it was the perfect combination of savory and sweet. I was pleasantly surprised that the pork chop was smoked, which really made it pop! On the side was a warm Portuguese donut, which is like a fritter, only less dense and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Although very oily, it was sweet and delicious. The coffee was excellent, roasted locally in Cave Creek. The atmosphere of the restaurant was modern and traditional fused together. It's small, but well lit, and family friendly. I was intrigued by the walk up format and the tiny front kitchen. It is a wonder that they work so efficiently and quickly there. The service was fast and friendly. The prices were good, nothing more than $12, and the majority of the small menu breakfast entrees were $8-9. A great value. I do believe I've found my new favorite breakfast diner!
