| - Nothing but an issue, and the management are physically allowed to hit you for trying to pay rent. Don't go into the models, they were remodels. Expect your apartments to be a little worn, torn, and filthy when you move in. You wont be surprised after seeing the cops the first few days you live there. Bums usually hang out neat the road and sleep near the trees.
INSIDE: Carpet kept pulling up, walls are super thin as I heard my downstairs neighbor snore and each and every door shut from who was coming in and out of there apartment. Cabinets had water that was left for a long period of time and were also falling apart. Might have been from the roaches found daily.
OUTSIDE: Complex looked nice... until the night time hit... As you come in and out of your home, you will notice little critters running around, or just a bunch of ROACHES. Trust me, that's not a bunch of lizards you hear. Sometimes, you will find little brown spots on your shoes from the mutts that run around and careless owners leaving there poop on sidewalks and grass. Pool was closed half the time I was there, and the BBQ's never seemed to work. When I tried getting in the pool, you had to yang, twist, and turn the keys, oh and don't forget to jiggle while doing those... you will get it open, keep trying harder.
MANAGEMENT: Your rent seems to change on the 1st to the 2nd. Utility bills are not processed until the 2nd of every month. That's kind of a problem trying to pay your rent on the 1st and seems to be a scheme to obtain those late fees. The assistant manager will take your rent accept it and then sign your rent slip. 1 week later, they will hand it back to you saying you owe $2.00 after your utilities and charge 7 days of late fees. Oh... Watch out for the managers slap, it will hurt you, specially after you try and pay rent over and over. Utilities are shared and always seem to go up every month no matter what time of year. Don't ask for your usage, they don't care, they don't need to show you, they just want your money and you to leave the office.
The only reason I gave this place 1 star is because of the maintenance. They are not the friendliest, but they get the job done. Sometimes half way done and you need to call them in 2 weeks, but they get it done one way or another.
OVERALL: This was one of the cheaper places in Chandler, when I moved in January the management was so kind and polite. Then a new manager came in and fired them all, ruined the atmosphere, and seems to always have a starring contest with everyone. The apartments are old, decaying, and certainly in need of a remodel. The people are friendly, and some will hit your car, not once, not twice, but multiple times and then they smile at you like nothing happened. Don't submit a complaint... you will be looked down on your entire stay and it is not fun what so ever.
Don't go as low as the roaches, your better then that.
