Wow what beautiful restaurant. I came on a Sunday night (you must make reservations) and it was packed. The setting could not be more beautiful with the waterfall background as your view from the restaurant. At sundown they open up the sliding door and it feels like you are in some resort on vacation. You can then hear the water and it adds to the experience. The inside of the restaurant is elegant and very clean looking. I love the light colors. Such a great ambiance for a special occasion.
I had the bone in rib eye and it was the best rib eye I can remember having in years, loved it! For the sides we shared a Au Gratin potatoes which usually doesn't excite me but this one was the best I've had with gruyere cheese in it. Creamed spinach was great. We also got the black truffle creamed corn which was very unique and delicious. For a starter I got the Caesar Salad and it was nothing special. Desert was a molten chocolate cake which was excellent and a ice wine the waiter suggested.
Service was great until the last 10 minutes when we were ignored when it came to getting the check and taking the payment. I was disappointed that I told them when I booked that it was my best friend's wedding anniversary and a special occasion and they did not bring them something that said Happy Anniversary. I do see it in the yelp pictures that they do this, so I don't understand how they overlooked this. Maybe they don't do that here or they forgot? They did mention her anniversary at check in though so they did know. It's always nice to get that to take pictures with and I was expecting that this expensive restaurant would do that.
Our night ended with seeing Steve Wynn himself enter the restaurant and go to the back room.
I can't wait to come back!
