| - Let's be honest, 99.9% of the time you don't visit a plasma donation clinic unless you're short of a few pennies (well several dollars, but you get the picture!).
New donors can expect to wait 3 hours from walking through the door to walking out of the door. Repeat donors can expect 1.5-2 hours (unless it's peak hours!).
Typically, the upstairs area is slow off the mark, downstairs seems more productive, so there is this huge bottleneck upstairs before you are filtered downstairs to hand over your plasma.
My gripe with this location, given the expected clientele, is that the staff are very bad at controlling them. People play music loudly, swear loudly, talk about doing drugs openly, fall asleep in the waiting room, sneak outside for cigarettes once checked in etc. the staff just ignore it all, do not say anything and it just seems like a huge cattle market. To their detriment, the older lady with shoulder length hair and glasses doesn't stand for any of this and plays her role well, the reason why I give two stars instead of one. The rest of the staff either ignore it or play into the poor behaviour of the clientele, either or rapport or respect or out of fear, I have no idea. As a customer, I don't want to put up with this atmosphere while waiting to donate and I shouldn't have to.
