| - The costumed attendees are the best part of this event for me. It is a dazzling display of well-thought out costumes worn by children of all ages.
The event is a bit pricey, especially if you purchase tickets at the door (roughly $60 per adult), so buy online. There was no senior citizen discount, at least at the 2017 event, but I believe there is a discount for children. It is, however, worth the cost to experience at least once in a lifetime if an event such as this is of any interest to you.
Security on event day 2 that we attended was very good and efficient in getting all checked and into the event at a fast pace. Many parents with kids in tow attend and the kids love it.
If you are into sci-fi and computer gaming collectibles and fantasy-play wear, there are a lot of offerings for purchase.
Backpacks and weapons, real and costume props, arenot allowed, however, we were allowed to bring in a Camelbak water vessel for hydration, but check online rules each year for changes and specifics to allowances.
There is an outdoor food truck court and beer tents that offer a variety of foods and a few other surprises outdoors.
