| - Where to begin. I guess from the beginning. We rented a home from HH, moving in August 19, 2015. After the lease signing was done, that's when I got the idea of looking up their rating on Yelp. And they had more complaints then goods reviews by far! Guessing, I'd say 85% bad reviews.
Things were ok for awhile, then I started to see what other residents were complaining about.
No one EVER answers the phone, I have let the phone ring up to 40 times with no answer, no voicemail. The only good thing is their response time for A/C and heating ( which btw, they are legally required to respond asap). And the phone is answered from a call center in California , which is why the phone actually got answered.
Shortly after move in, I called for one repair and it took 5 months for them to fix it, it was the outside where pigeons were nesting under tiles of roof. I reported it, so I didn't care.
My biggest complaint; The gas company never changed mailing address! Being from east coast where electric and gas were on one bill , we came home to a house in January on a Friday no less that was freezing. We had no heat, hot water or cooking until late Monday. When I finally got in touch with HH, I found out that they had been receiving bills from the gas company for 5 months at their El Segundo, California office, which included the shut off notice. Not once during that time did anyone contact me about the gas bill. Fast forward to July of this year( I don't have room for 2 yrs of bad). We received a letter regarding resigning lease on a Monday. On Wednesday, husband came home and Jorge Rodriguez was sitting in his car in front of the house. He sees my husband and jumps out of car and super friendly. Shakes my husbands hand .Jorge: "Hi! I brought your lease for you to sign"as he thrusts the paper at my husband. Husband; " Sorry we're not resigning, we purchased a home" Jorge grabs paper from husband, his entire demeanor changes ! Jorge; " oh, contact Jeannette then" and walks away.
Then our lease ended on the 19th of month. My husband went to office to pay what we thought was a prorated rate of 19 days. Oh no, we had to pay entire month according to Steve it was " policy". So I tried calling Jorge, Steve, Jeanette. No answer at office. Called repeatedly at least 5-6 times, letting phone ring 30-40 times. I finally remembered that Jeanette has text me earlier regarding a walk through date so I texted her. She answered text telling me that since it's not in our lease, it was a gray area and we really didn't have to pay it. However, she didn't understand why I was upset since we already paid full month. I said I wanted an explanation. I tried calling Steve and Jorge again ...no answer. Finally I emailed Jorge who responded that evening and told me in so many words, not to contact anyone else because they would just " refer call back to me". He was a pompous little sh!t!
So these people are your best friends as long as nothing goes wrong. But if you need repairs or to just have a simple question answered, you won't get it.
I saved every text, email etc. I was prepared to go to court and these jokers knew it, so I actually did get my money back in full, that being said, I had house professionally cleaned so there was nothing they could complain about. Seriously people, stay away from this circus of a " company". They go thru employees like there's no tomorrow!
Oh and one of the good reviews on this app is from Jeanette Fant who is their employee! I wouldn't doubt if some of the other "good" reviews are from friends or fake online names. It's really only a satellite company with 4 employees. Oh yeah, if they are also Temple Street Homes LLC. So if you hear either name, run for the hills!
