The worst possible experience. I made the mistake of only researching the national moving company (Atlas, good company) and not researching their local affiliate.
I won't bore you with all of the details, because there are a lot. Basically, the rep that came and gave an estimate was great, but my experience after I selected the company was unpleasant and has dragged on for months.
Communication is difficult, the people are not unfriendly, but don't return calls. I even worried that they had gone out of business because of the number of times I called and emailed without a response or anyone answering during business hours.
My furniture was damaged. Things were in bad enough condition when it arrived that the movers on this side were taking pictures of how it was packed to document and they kept apologizing.
There were so many occasions along the way where Slater dropped the ball, withheld information, and failed to apologize. I had to buy an air mattress because I ended up at my destination for weeks before my items arrived.
