| - Man, y'all weren't lying when you said Sycamore gets crowded! The fella is a huge beer fan, and we hadn't made it here yet, so we decided to stop by for a beer or two on a Saturday afternoon around 4:00 p.m.
We thankfully found a place to park in a lot across the street, and we could already tell it was hoppin'. We walked up through the gravel outdoor picnic table area, and Furious George was playing. The outside picnic table area went back as far as the eye could see - or to the light rail - and we headed inside to buy our beer. Inside is rustic, and I only saw one room with tables and a long, leather seat across from the bar. We tried to sit inside since it looked like it was about to rain, but the acoustics were so bad or the people were so loud that we actually had to text each other to hear.
Which leads me to say that I'm officially old. I'm 37, and I was older than 90% of the people by a good 10 years. Ha! This is definitely a young, preppy brewery... not that that's a bad thing, just not entirely my crowd. :-) I absolutely loved all the dogs people had brought!
They have a tons of beers on tap, an awesome outdoor area with cornhole, and a lively vibe. We'll come back to check them out on a calmer weeknight when the whippersnappers aren't out yet!
