This hike kicked my butt! I would consider it a moderate hike, some parts are difficult. Perry, my bestie Diana, and I got to the trailhead by about 11am on Sunday, the park was super crowded !
Once we got on the trail it was just starting to get busy and there were a lot of people and dogs (some on and some off leash) - beware of poop! At some points on the trail it got packed, but that gave us a chance to step aside and take little breaks. Be prepared to wait in some spots that are narrow. There were some groups of people that brought music blasting in their backpacks - kinda dumb and unnecessary overall it was a peaceful and fun hike! !
The initial climb was pretty easy, once you turn down into the shade area the boulders get bigger and there is water, making it a little slippery. There are several options around certain spots, the focus is on staying safe and getting to the waterfall at the end.
It is approx 2.5 miles one way, but it is one of the coolest places to hike in Red Rock. Definitely worth the effort!
