We came here because my Mom likes it. The food is mediocre. The service this time was excellent. I had fish tacos that tasted like frozen old fish. The beef taco was bland. All the tacos were covered in grated cabbage and accompanied by day old pico-de-gallo with some weird creamy stuff on top. I have no idea what keeps this joint going, except that if you are drunk with margaritas, then probably anything tastes OK. Guys, the '70's restaurant model needs to be revamped...Either you play the "retro" food thing or you actually serve decent food. The chips were good, and the salsa was decent. Prices are too high.
With the proximity to Mexico and a healthy Mexican American population, this restaurant has no reason to serve this kind of food. Underwhelmed, for sure.
