This place is a little ways from the Strip but worth the drive. Do you really want to pay $15.00+ for a half-cooked omelette? Anyway, you know that you are in a local spot when 9 out of 10 patrons are locals. Walking in, we were greeted warmly by a waitress. Not the "thank you for coming to our establishment" kind of greeting but more like "Hi hon! Just grab a seat and we'll get right with you!" with a big smile. The greetings from the other patrons were not so nice. It was more like "Oh crap! more of these damn tourists!"
Our food was amazing. I know you really can't screw up breakfast foods but their food was fresh and tasty. The biscuit and gravy was excellent. The corn beef hash was delicious. They also offered a variety of items on their lunch menu, including fresh baked pies.
The reason why we really loved the place was that the owner, Brian, stopped by to talk to us. Not just your usual "how's everything?" greeting but he actually stopped and I mean talked to us for a while. I even told us about his family and how they like to spend their vacations. Right is the middle of a busy morning. That's really cool and meant a lot to us. Every restaurant should be like this! It was so good we came back the next day.
